The operations of Regimental Headquarters was vital to the Line Battalion/Squadrons and Support Companies. They would handle the information coming from and going to the three Battalions of the 14th ACR on the line in case of an invasion from the Warsaw Pact. Through them we would receive our Battle Plans, Ammunitions, Supplies, Replacements for both Personal and Vehicles. Under the guidance of such officers as Col. Alfred Shehab, Capt. Raymon B. Cromwell and Col. Potts

The above picture may have been taken in 1959 as in 1958 Capt. Cromwell was our CO in C Co. Also in these photo is Major Alfred Shehab. He is sitting there with his Riding Quirt in his hand. He told me once that he was going to stick it where the sun doesn't shine if I ever got smart with him again. We had a good laugh about that 50 years later. By 1960 he was a LTC.
