| 14th ACR Perpetual Poem |
Richard Garcia has a good ideal
where people could add to a poem that he has started. The idea is to make it a
Perpetual Poem. You can send your verse for the poem and we will add it to the
Perpetual Poem web page
God Bless The Men From The
14th Armored Cav
By Richard Garcia
501st Armored Medical Company
God bless the men of the old 14th Armored Cav
They were the guards and all that we had
They were the stepping stones to total annihilation
There were there with total concentration
Men from boys, boys into men
If they had to do it over they'd do it again
Border Legions the name they are called
We were faithful to our country, family and all.
First we were many, now we are few
We guarded the gates to hell for me and for you
When the great man said, "Tear down that wall,"
The commies heard him loud and tore it down, all
Tony, he loved us we were his friends
He loved us all for the money we brang
From the top of the hill and to the Hole n' The Wall,
U-boat, the Banholf and Muller's we gave it our all.
The bottom of the pit we knew as the camp
The home of many a tramps.
If you isn't Cav then you isn't shit
This motto reflect the heart of the few
Jim, this is were I stop so anyone can add and see what happens. Let me know if you want to use it. I think it would be fun.
